The VTB United League's new leopard mascot will now officially go by the name Buba.

The results of the fan vote, part of the playoff's Return of the Leopard campaign, were released today in Moscow during halftime of Game 2 of the CSKA – Khimki finals. The league mascot's new name will be Buba, as voted on by 3,358 internet users. VTB United League president emeritus Sergey Ivanov signed an official certificate at the USH CSKA granting the name to the league's leopard mascot and his real life twin in the Land of the Leopards wildlife park.

– It's good that the leopard has a real name, – said Sergey Ivanov. – Thanks to all the fans for their love of nature and participation in this campaign. I already shared that there is a lot in common between leopards and basketball players. They are both great jumpers and possess good field vision. Together, we are accomplishing something good.
